1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using LeaveDraft.com (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

If you are using LeaveDraft on behalf of an organisation or as a parent or guardian for a minor, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity or minor to these Terms.

2. Description of Service

LeaveDraft is a free, browser-based leave application generator that creates formatted leave application letters based on user-provided inputs. The Service supports multiple languages (English, Hindi, Urdu) and formats for various countries and contexts including school leave applications, office leave applications, college leave applications, and international formats such as FMLA leave letters for the United States and annual leave request letters for the United Kingdom.

The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising revenue from Google AdSense. No account, registration, or payment is required to use the Service.

LeaveDraft reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

3. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms, LeaveDraft grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for the following purposes:

• Generating leave application letters for your own personal or professional use.
• Downloading, printing, copying, or sharing the generated letters for submission to your school, college, employer, or organisation.
• Using the generated letters as starting templates that you review, edit, and customise before submitting.
• Sharing LeaveDraft with friends, family, colleagues, or students who may benefit from the Service.

4. Prohibited Use

You agree that you will NOT use LeaveDraft to:

• Generate fraudulent leave applications — including letters that contain false dates, fabricated medical conditions, invented family emergencies, or any other false information intended to deceive an employer, school, or institution.
• Generate applications for illegal purposes — including any use that violates applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
• Scrape, copy, or reproduce LeaveDraft's template code, letter structures, or website content for commercial use, resale, or distribution without our explicit written permission.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract our template engine, JavaScript, or other proprietary code.
• Introduce malware, viruses, or harmful code to the Service or its users.
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to systematically access or download content from the Service beyond normal usage.
• Misrepresent your identity or create letters on behalf of another person without their consent.
• Use the Service in a way that damages, disables, overburdens, or impairs the website or servers.

Violation of these prohibited use terms may result in immediate termination of your access to the Service and, where appropriate, legal action.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.

LeaveDraft does not warrant that:

• The generated leave application letters will be accepted, approved, or considered satisfactory by any school, employer, or institution.
• The letter formats are appropriate for every jurisdiction, organisation policy, or individual situation.
• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from viruses or other harmful components.
• The information provided in or through the Service is accurate, complete, or current.

You use the Service entirely at your own risk. The generated letters are intended as a helpful starting point, not as legally binding, HR-certified, or professionally guaranteed documents.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LeaveDraft, its founders (Ankit and Amrit), employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Rejected leave applications or denied leave resulting from the use of generated letters.
• Any employment, academic, or disciplinary consequences arising from submitted letters.
• Loss of data, loss of business, or any other intangible losses.
• Errors or omissions in generated letter content.
• Service interruptions or downtime.

In any event, our total liability to you for any cause of action shall not exceed INR 0 (zero rupees) given that the Service is provided completely free of charge.

7. Intellectual Property

The LeaveDraft website, including its design, code, template structure, letter-generation logic, multilingual template content, graphics, and all other content, is the intellectual property of LeaveDraft and its founders. All rights are reserved.

You are granted a limited licence to use the output (the generated letters) for your personal and professional purposes as described in Section 3. You are not granted any rights to the underlying template engine, code, or website design.

The name "LeaveDraft" and the LeaveDraft logo are trademarks of the founders. You may not use these marks in any way that implies endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship without prior written permission.

User-Provided Content

You retain full ownership of any information you input into the LeaveDraft generator (your name, company name, school name, etc.). Since this data never reaches our servers (as described in our Privacy Policy), we claim no rights over your inputs.

8. Advertising

LeaveDraft displays advertisements through Google AdSense to fund the free Service. By using LeaveDraft, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Advertisements are displayed by Google and governed by Google's advertising policies and terms.
• Google may use cookies and other tracking technologies to serve relevant advertisements.
• LeaveDraft does not control the content of advertisements shown by Google.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising through Google's Ad Settings.

We do not endorse any products or services advertised on the site. We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or legality of any advertised products.

9. Third-Party Services

LeaveDraft integrates with certain third-party services to enhance functionality, including:

• Google Fonts — for typography (DM Sans, DM Serif Display).
• jsPDF (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — for PDF generation.
• Gmail — for opening generated letters in email compose.
• WhatsApp — for sharing generated letters via messaging.

These services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. LeaveDraft is not responsible for the practices or policies of these third parties. Your interactions with them (e.g., sending an email via Gmail) are governed by their respective terms.

10. Termination of Access

LeaveDraft reserves the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. Since no account is created, termination may take the form of IP blocking, access restrictions, or other technical measures.

You may stop using the Service at any time. There are no cancellation procedures required since no account or subscription exists.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.

If you are accessing LeaveDraft from outside India, you are responsible for compliance with local laws and regulations applicable in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

LeaveDraft reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the Service.
